Announcing Leading Edge Abrasion Strip
from Rotor-Tech International
Stockton, CA - September 18, 2002 - Rotor-Tech
International receives Bell Helicopter Textron
approval to install a 72" nickel leading edge abrasion strip
to help prevent erosion of the aluminum spar on the 206B
and 206L model main rotor blades.
Bell 206 main rotor blades that are operated in harsh
environments are commonly retired prematurely because of erosion
to the aluminum spar. The installation of the 72" nickel abrasion
strip will keep these blades in service longer, which will
significantly reduce operating costs.
The leading edge abrasion strip can be installed to a new or serviceable
rotor blade.
Rotor-Tech International is a FAA Certified Repair
Station (R4TR18N), specializing in full service repair
of composite and metal main and tail rotor blades for Bell,
Eurocopter, HTC, MD, Schweizer
and Sikorsky helicopters.
